We have lots of fun in Music class. We sing, play instruments, play rhythm games, develop our listening skills, dance and perform together. Throughout the year, we will post learning resources and photographs of the music curriculum.
Year 4 have developed their own percussion performances, inspired by the STOMP performance group. They are using a range of 'found instruments' (junk) to create their own rhythmic pieces of music. There is lots of team work happening and some really great learning about rhythm and beat. Please click HERE to see their final group compositions.

What do we do in Music lessons?
We have such a great time in Music using instruments, our voices and our bodies. Learning music at primary level is about developing a basic understanding of rhythm, pitch and pulse, as well as developing listening and responding skills. Children take part in lots of different activities throughout the year. Both the Juniors and Infants will also take part in a concert to showcase their skills.
