KIAS-MINDS-ChosunCDS Joint Workshop
KIAS-MINDS-ChosunCDS Joint Workshop
Oral presentation: We accept papers for oral presentations at the workshop. Submitted papers will be reviewed and selected for oral presentation. Due to the limited number of oral presentation slots, some papers may be recommended for poster presentation instead. If you are interested in giving an oral presentation, please submit your abstract by Monday, May 18, here.
Poster presentation: To address the limited time and space available for oral presentations during the workshop, we are pleased to welcome submissions for poster presentations. A dedicated poster session will be held on June 18th (Thursday) from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM and June 19th (Friday) from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM. In addition, posters will be prominently displayed throughout the workshop, allowing attendees to engage in discussions during breaks or lunch. The recommended size of the poster fits on a board sized 90 x 180 cm (vertical). Presenters might want to look up a template of the size 36 x 48 inches or 90 x 130 cm. If you are interested in presenting a poster, please submit your poster abstract by May 29 (Friday) here.
The intersection of music, mathematics, and language is a fascinating and complex area of research that has the potential to yield significant insights and breakthroughs. Corpus methods and data-driven approaches are particularly well-suited to this area of research because, by analyzing large corpora of musical and linguistic data, researchers can identify patterns and connections that would be difficult or impossible to detect through other methods. Additionally, data-driven approaches allow researchers to test hypotheses and develop new insights in a rigorous and systematic manner. Particularly these days, data-based AI also plays an important role in music research, and this line of research should be further explored among researchers in fields such as music, mathematics, and linguistics. The workshop would bring together researchers from a variety of disciplines, including musicology, linguistics, mathematics, and machine learning to explore the intersections between these fields. By bringing together researchers from a variety of disciplines and exploring the latest research in this area, the workshop will help to catalyze new research and collaborations, leading to a deeper understanding of the connections between music, mathematics, and language.
This workshop is a sequel workshop. The first workshop on music, mathematics, and linguistics was held in 2023.
