MUS 406 Capstone Community Partner Project
Meadow Ridge MetroPark, Middletown OH
April 19th, 2025
To use music to communicate complex concepts of naturalism in a more digestible way, spreading appreciation for both nature and an individual’s state of being.
The Performance
Our teams collectively worked over 252 volunteer hours for MetroParks
The Teams
Rehearsed original compositions as well as preselected works to perform at the concert
Created several original pieces to be debuted at the concert
Created the concert program and prepared the educational lectures that happened during the concert
Professionally recorded the concert and created promotional materials like the website and poster
Researched music that already existed and made selections based on the mission statement for the performance team to prepare. Also created program notes for the non-student composers
Selected the MetroPark that would be best to hold the concert in based on visits and input from the other teams. Communicated with MetroParks staff about concert logistics
