Mushroom Identifier: Mushy is a mobile application that helps users explore and identify mushrooms using AI-powered image analysis.

Your privacy is extremely important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information is (and is not) collected, how it is used, and how your data is protected.

Image Identification

When you use the mushroom identification feature, the image you upload is processed to generate identification results. Images are sent securely to our AI service only for analysis.

We DO NOT collect:

• Contacts, photo library, or files beyond what you voluntarily upload
  
  

• Face data, biometric data, or body data
  
  

• Precise location or GPS data
  
  

• Financial or payment information

We do not create or maintain user accounts.

3. How We Use Your Information

When you upload an image for analysis:

• The image is automatically deleted from servers shortly after processing
  
  

• We do not store, reuse, sell, or train models using your data
  
  

Your data is used only to provide the feature you explicitly requested.

4. Local Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device, including:

This data remains on your device and is never uploaded unless you explicitly submit an image for analysis. Deleting the app permanently removes all locally stored data.

5. Third-Party AI Providers

We use trusted third-party AI providers via OpenRouter to perform mushroom image analysis.

These providers are contractually restricted from:

• Storing your images
  
  

• Training AI models on your data
  
  

• Sharing or selling any information
  
  

All data transfers are encrypted and used only for on-demand processing.

6. In-App Purchases

Mushroom Identifier: Mushy offers optional in-app purchases.

• Free users can explore the app and its educational content
  
  

• Paid users can unlock AI-based mushroom analysis
  
  

All payments and subscriptions are processed exclusively through Apple’s App Store.

We use RevenueCat only to manage subscription status. RevenueCat does not have access to your payment details.

7. Analytics and Tracking

We may use limited, privacy-friendly analytics to understand app performance and feature usage.
