Housed in a 1917 structure that was the first church on the south Pinellas barrier islands, the Gulf Beaches Historical Museum's mission is to collect, preserve and exhibit the history of the barrier islands.
Our collection encompasses more than 10,000 artifacts, including vintage postcards, historic photographs, nautical maps and charts, a historical timeline of the beaches from 1500 to present, school yearbooks, and rotating exhibits on dynamic aspects of island history.
