For one day, take note of every time you hear music (in the car, at home, within social media videos, in a movie/TV show, in rehearsal). How often do you go without hearing music? How often are you “hearing” music as compared to “listening” to music?
Think of the last concert you attended (classical, non-classical…). Who had access to it? What were the barriers to that access (price, location, previous knowledge, membership in an institution)?
