Project 1 - First Gear Assessment:
SPROCKET CIRCLE -
My first AutoCAD drawing where I learned to use the different circle commands at the magenta hatchmarks, such as "Center, Radius," "Center, Diameter," "2-Point," and "3-Point"
SPROCKET ARC -
I learned to use different types of arc commands using the hatchmarks as reference, like "Start, Center, End," "Start, Center, Angle," "Start, Center, Length," "Start, End. Direction," "Start, End, Radius," "Center. Start, End," and more
THERMOSTAT -
I learned how to create, edit, and assign layer properties to change different elements; use OSNAP; the insert command; and the trim command which I used on a "construction line"
MTB -
Finished product of inserting different blocks to make a mountain-bike where I learned how to use the "base point" for proper alignment, and the scale command
My score on the BrainBuffet "First Gear Assessment"
Project 2 - Optical Illusions Assessment:
ILLUSION 1 -
My first "real" drawing where I learned how to use the polygon, and hatch commands to make an optical illusion
ILLUSION 2 -
I learned how to use "Shift + right-click" to enable the OSNAP menu to find the midpoint between two points
ILLUSION 3 -
I learned to use coordinates to start lines, absolute length/angle using "@" to adjust lines, to drag OSNAP intersection points as reference lines, and edit hatched sections
My score on the BrainBuffet "Optical Illusions Assessment"
Project 3 - Architectural Design Assessment:
ARCH 1 -
First time editing an architectural drawing where I edited layer properties (assignment); inserted blocks such as "door" where I learned to use mirror, rotate, and scale to fit the different hinges; created a fireplace using chamfer; used the array command to make the stairs; polar coordinates to make an umbrella; utilized view to section the drawing; and used the isolate/unisolate command to edit select parts
My score on the BrainBuffet "Architectural Design Assessment"
Project 4 - Annotations Assessment:
ARCH 2 -
First time I used dimensions, leader lines, angled leader lines, and different hatch properties such as "grass," and "earth"
Below are close up snips of the individual sections:
My score on the BrainBuffet "Annotations Assessment"
Project 5 - Layouts and Printing Assessment:
ARCH 3 -
My first paper space layout called "SECTION VIEW" which is a viewport with a 3/16" = 1'-0" scale of "SECTION 1" in the model space
My first PDF download called "PDF Layout1" which is a monochrome, and white background version of "SECTION VIEW"
3/8" = 1'-0" scale paper model space of "FIRST FLOOR" and "SECOND FLOOR" inside an architectural title block format named "A1"
PDF print of "A1" named "A1" with a monochrome tint, white background, and text that indicates information such as "BB-001" project title, A1 format, 12/31/25 as the date, and the Brain Buffet image which the tints don't apply to
