Research Interests:
I develop theoretical and computational tools for modeling, analysis, and control of gene regulatory networks. I am also developing efficient methods for optimal control of large probabilistic models using techniques from Markov decision processes and reinforcement learning.
I am also working in the development of methods for the computational prediction of RNA secondary structure using machine learning techniques.
Research Projects: I have worked in a variety of research problems. Below are the main research directions that I have been focusing on recently:
A mathematical theory for the biological concept of modularity Funded by NSF grant.
Model personalization and calibration for medical digital twins.
Predicting the directability of RNA secondary structure. Funded by UK's Pilot Grant.
