Creative Residency – BABIL Programme
Les P’tits Loups Daycare Centre, Alençon
As part of the BABIL programme, dedicated to artistic creation for early childhood, we led a series of workshops with the children of Les P’tits Loups Daycare Centre in Alençon, connected to the development of our performance Montagnes.
These sessions were conceived as spaces for sensory exploration, where children could encounter the idea of the mountain through movement, sound, and materials.
Together, we explored different ways of inhabiting a landscape: walking, climbing, rolling, crossing, hiding, observing, and listening.
The children experimented with textures, reliefs, the sounds of stones, breath, and vibrations. Their bodies became, at times, rocks, animals, or moving landscapes.
These shared moments of research and discovery became an important source of inspiration for the creation of Montagnes. The children’s gestures, gazes, and imaginations helped shape our approach to the performance.
A journey through dance, music, and visual arts, where everyone is invited to discover their own mountain.
