The Laws of Munchkin Nation
1. Law of Kindness and Respect
All citizens are free to express their opinions, argue, and debate, if it is done with the utmost respect and love for one another. Disagreements and being outspoken are strongly encouraged, but any interaction must result in love, kindness, and mutual respect in the resolution of any conflict.
Punishment:
Minor offenses: Participation in a Munchkin Mediation Session to resolve any issues and restore munchkin respect.
Severe offenses: Participation in a Love and Respect Rehabilitation Program to reflect on a person/s action and rebuild a positive connection.
2. Cultural Integrity Act
All citizens must uphold the values of the nation. Publicly insulting or mocking the culture of Munchkin land is a violation of the highest degree.
Punishment: Offenders must apologize publicly and attend cultural education seminars and fines for damaging the Munchkin Community.
3. National Animal Protection Act (Teto and Teletubbies)
Our national animals “Teto and Teletubbies” are sacred to our people and must be protected. Citizens must care for and preserve their habitats.
Punishment: Harm to our national animals' results in heavy fines or imprisonment based on the severity of the crime.
4. Religious Freedom and Tolerance Act
Munchkinism must be practiced as our national religion. The government supports peaceful religious gatherings.
5. The Fairness Act
All citizens, regardless of status, are entitled to equal access to justice, opportunities, and protection under the law of munchkin land.
Punishment: Any act of discrimination is met with legal action and public shaming.
6. The Munchkin Education and Arts Act
Every child and citizen are guaranteed a free education that supports our principles and teaches us about our culture and history and the arts.
Punishment: Hindering a child’s access to education results in fines and a possibility of the government removing a child from their home.
8. The Council of Halla
Halla, the supreme leader, rules with love and wisdom over munchkin land. A council of advisors from various sectors will assist in decision-making for all munchkin kind.
Punishment: Corruption or any misuse of power by a government official result in dismissal and a public trial.
The Rights of All Munchkin Citizens
The Right to Expression
All citizens are free to express their thoughts, emotions, and beliefs--as long as they are expressed with respect.
Protection: Anyone that is silenced unjustly may appeal to the Community Harmony Council.
The Right to Cultural Protection
All citizens are protected from acts that insult, mock, or harm the culture of Munchkin Nation.
Protection: The Ministry of Cultural Preservation will take action against cultural disrespect.
The right to Learn
All Munchkins have the right to receive education in history, culture, creative arts, and teto. Artistic and cultural expression are deeply protected.
Protection: Schools and guardians must guarantee access. Failure to do so is a punishable offense.
The Right to Fair Trial and Peaceful Resolution
No person may be punished without a change to explain, apologize, and be heard in a fair trial or mediation.
Protection: All conflict must go through resolution systems before consequences are finalized.
The Council of Halla and the Office of Munchkin Rights are entrusted with upholding and reviewing these rights regularly. These rights are subject to change.
