The LTP programs are our entry level programs where the focus is on softball fundamentals - with an emphasis on FUN. Softball skills are developed during game play and rules of the game may be modified to be appropriate for the age and skill level of the participating players.
U7 is for all players who will turn 6 years old or 7 years old within the current calendar year. Players must not turn 8 years old before the end of the calendar year. This group will have a one hour session on the field, one day per week.
U9 is for all players who will turn 8 years old or 9 years old within the current calendar year. Players must not turn 10 years old before the end of the calendar year. . This group will have a one hour session on the field, two days per week.
Equipment required:
U7 - ball glove, helmet, running shoes, ball cap and water bottle
U9 - ball glove, helmet with cage, running shoes or cleats, ball cap and water bottle
Our Minor program continues to develop the skills learned in the LTP program, but emphasis now shifts to understanding softball rules, strategy and game play.
Our goal for minor players is to provide a place for players continue to learn the game of softball in a fun, inclusive environment. When there are sufficient players registered in an age group for a full team, that team will join a league to play teams outside the community. Minor teams will play 6 or 7 inning games and can expect to be on the field 2 - 3 times per week for games and practices.
Minor is open to:
U11 - 10 or 11 years old prior to the end of the current calendar year
U13 - 12 or 13 years old prior to the end of the current calendar year
U15 - 14 or 15 years old prior to the end of the current calendar year
Equipment required: ball glove, helmet with a cage, running shoes or cleats (recommended), ball cap and water bottle.
