"It just feels good. All the hard work over the summer paid off tonight”
8-29-19
During the Summer we worked on our website and we did more research into our topic and finding information that we can use for our symptom tracker. This included symptoms that are easily known such as fever and those associated with the cold; as well as less common ones such as cold sweats or muscle fatigue. In addition, we thought about different layouts and designed for our app for when the actual production phase would occur.
We all were pretty busy during the summer, but we still got a lot of things done for our project. We still have a lot ideas that we can contribute to our prototype. We cant wait to get back to school to continue on our project.

After a great summer with friends and family, Thursday was the first day of school. Even though it was a great summer MHW are very excited to start my senior year in High School. We was very excited to see my friends and teachers again. So far we are really enjoying our new classes with our new teachers. We can to see what new topics we will learn.
As our Senior year in High School a lot of things are going to be happening. This year we figure out what colleges we will be attending. This is also year where MHW will be presenting our final Capstone Project. We believe that this year is going to be the best year of High school.
9-3-19
Coming back to school is tough after getting such a long break. This first week of capstone we have been given a lot of information such as when our prototype is due and that we are presenting TOMORROW!!! Luckily we are very invested in our project and we should do a great job after a quick refresher. We added a few things to the website to make it clearer for the audience. We reminded ourselves what needed to be improved from last year and how we were going to do that.
As we are getting closer and closer to the dead line of our prototype we are discussing and planning what is going to be done. We voted on an app and we are going to put the watch as a future plan we are not capable of making with such a short deadline. We will be planning and getting prepared as soon as possible.

Today was the day that we had to present what we had so far. Basically going over with our new group of classmates what our idea was last year that we worked on throughout capstone one. It was very nerving for all of us as its been so long since we last practiced presenting. We had our flaws every time we presented and were hoping we were getting better and better with each attempt. We hoped that today would be even better then last year.
All of our stress about presenting seemed to be basically for nothing. It was no where near as nerving as we all thought it was and if anything, we just overthought it. While we weren't perfect we feel we did improve compared to where we were last year. We were more fluent and confident in our parts but have to work on how loud we speak. This year of capstone will certainly be and interesting one.

During the weekend we worked on finding the parts needed to make the watch and working on the Research Plan Guide. It was a difficult tasked to know what parts were needed to make the watch and how to get it. Unfortunately a lot of people had no internet connection during the weekend but we still pull through and found the parts needed to build the watch.
This week we started creating our app and doing more research for the watch. As we are getting closer and closer to the dead line of our prototype we are working harder to complete it in time. We are trying our best to find out a way to create the watch with as many features that we wanted it to have.
9-11-19
After searching for the parts that we need to build the watch we finally found the right ones. We are very grateful that Mr. Jackman was nice enough to pay for materials that we need. The parts will arrive next week at the school. We are very excited to start building the watch once the parts get here.
Since we are waiting for the the parts to arrive, Habibul and Ethan will start working on the app. The directors of technology have also found someone to help us build the watch and app. Now I have to finish the Statement of Work so that we can start working right away.

After getting a decent amount of progress done my computer began to stop working. Having to turn it in to IT I realized most of the progress for our commercial was only accessible on that computer. This resulted in a large setback as we had to start from scratch again to hopefully create a good commercial. On top of that the one we had already was not even very good even when we thought it was. This meant we would have to do a lot more then what was done there which took a considerable amount of time.
After managing to make a new account that we could all access and work on together we started our new commercial. We had some trouble with communicating out ideas as we all started off with our own separate thoughts. It was challenging for me especially because i was unable to work during school without my laptop and my phone not working. We will have to work our hardest to get our commercial done and have it exceed the standard.
"Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning"
9-19-19
We have completed our commercial and presented it. We got great feedback and were told that we did great for our first presentation. With minor improvements we can get a perfect score. We had also got our parts for the watch and have started building it. We found online videos and codes to assist our watch creation and got a Bluetooth adapter to help sync it to the app. We are ready to start our prototype and hope we can get it to work great.
We started the app last week which is going along well. We created a cool layout and it is moving along great. We created the entire fitness area and are working on contacting doctors and hospitals to partner with us. We are planning to start with 1 local hospital as a test and if it goes well we will contact more. We will be trying very hard to get this project to work and we will always push to creating this.
9-24-19
We continued to work on the watch and the app. We found out that the Arduino Kit didn't have all the parts that we needed. We also had problems with one of the parts that we had to ordered. Mr. A and Mr. Julian helped us try to find replacement parts that were in our school, but we couldn't find any. We had to order more parts online which meant we had to stop working on the watch. We still continued to work on the app and we added new features to it. One of them was a map page that locates where you are and find the closest hospitals near you.
We also started the survey. Our goal it to get about 300 people to take our survey so we have more accurate data and feedback. So far we have about 30 submitted survey. Last Tuesday and Wednesday we went to the classrooms to set up appointments for when we can present our survey.
"We can not solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them."
9-26-19
After working on the survey it is finally completed. Yesterday we went around the school asking for teachers approval for students to take our survey. Right now have about 7 classes, 5 in IT and 2 in BIO. We will definitely try to get more classes this week.
Today we went to those classes so the students can take the survey. We also took pictures of those students. Although there was one teacher who didn't allow use to take pictures. So what we did was write down the number of students who took the survey and she signed the paper. In the end the students took the survey and we have the proof, problem solved.

On Wednesday of this week most of our group went to the Skills21 Expo fest. The event was to help us learn about what Skills21 is and what would happen if we were to attend next year. We were told all about what they do, the judging and setting up booths. In addition, they explained different ways to appeal to the audience and to the judges to get the best score we can get.
We got to split up and collaborate with others from different schools for an activity. We were to try and promote and advertise the product idea we were provided with. Two of us were put into a group to try and promote a selfie toaster. After about half an hour we joined back together and got to watch all the presentations and learn different ways in which information can be promoted or advertised to appeal to people.

10-3-19
This week is the last week to work on the prototype! We were assigned to find mentors for our "company." We had a quite a few mentors during these past 3 weeks. They were Mr. Julian, Mr. A, and Mrs. Satter. They helped us find and receive the parts needed to build our prototype, but also guided us on the steps to build it. They gave us the confidences that we were lacking as individuals and as a team.
We had a few difficulties with some of the parts because they were made incorrectly. We had to fix them in order for them to work. So far we have half of the watch components working and rest are currently being worked on.

10-4-19
As the week is ending we are adding finishing touches to our prototypes. All that is left to do is link the two together. I would say we are in good shape and with the help of Mr. Jackmans extension to Monday it will be perfect. Me and Habibul have been working very hard on getting the app to work and Habibul has been amazing with the watch work.
Also finishing up surveys we met the goal but wanted to get extra to expand our information. The survey will help us find out what people actually want and if they are interested in our product.

Now that our prototype is done it was time to prepare for our next presentation. After polishing our presentation with the information needed from the SRBI presentation. We added our survey results, our prototype, comparative Analysis, and a few other things.
Today we were supposed to presented our prototype but we were given a extra day. We continued to practice each of our parts until we can fluently say our parts with little to no mistakes.
10-11-19
Today we presented our prototype that we worked so hard on. We showed the app and the watch to the whole class. We also had Mr. A and Mr. DeCastro join our presentation and we are glad that they did. Mr. DeCastro also said some nice things about our app saying how it is one of the best apps that he has ever seen his students made.
We practice for our presentation for a while and it really paid off. We were given a lot of compliments about our presentation. In fact, Mr. Jackman was very happy and proud of us because of how good we did. Of course there are some things that we still have to work on to get the perfect score.

All of the Khan academy and own studying was going to be put to the test. Today was the day for the SAT. The test we all dreaded and wished we did not have to take. We were all separated into different classrooms, the preparations being done and then we go to work. We would be trapped working for the next three hours.
After finally finishing out exams, relief was a common sight in each classroom. Having the same lunch wave for once we were all able to sit at the same table as we used to in previous years. The rest of the day was slow, everyone's brains fried after working for so long. Most people either played games on their phones or chatted until the school day came to a close.

10/18/19
These past few days we went out to the south west family health center to search for a mentor. Habibul had met a doctor at our school and contacted the office for a time to come in. We had met with doctor Walsh on the 14th and had here help us with our product. Giving us tips on improvements and things we should change or consider. She was very helpful and agreed to be our mentor. She had given us her office number and her email and told us we could contact her at any time for questions or help with medical information.
Going along with mentors we had watched some videos on what to look out for and why we should consider a mentor. with watching multiple videos and talking about what we are looking for we found the key target on who we need to find for mentors and what they could help out with. We are planning on going out to get more people in the medical and financial field.

Today was the start of an investigation into what people think of our product. We were told that we will need to now go out and have people try out and use our product and then do a survey to see what they thought about it. We will need to start working on creating a new survey for those who test out our product. The questions on the survey would be: what did you like about it, what choose be taken out, and how can it be better.
We will also need to determine who should have the product with them and where they/we should go to get people to try it. We are thinking of going to the our family first to test our prototype. We wont have class on Wednesdays so would just continue working on the investigation.
10-25-19
Today Mr. Jackman told us to that we have a next presentation. We have to come up with a new commercial that demonstrates how out product works. So today we came up with ideas to make our commercial better than before. We also must have 50 people or more use our product and give us feedback. We have to present this feedback during the presentation.
We plan on practicing our presentation a lot to get a better grade than we did before. It might be very hard because we had a very high score last time. But if we look at the feedback and practice then we are sure of getting a better grade. I really think we can do this.
“Innovation– any new idea–by definition will not be accepted at first. It takes repeated attempts, endless demonstrations, monotonous rehearsals before innovation can be accepted and internalized by an organization. This requires courageous patience.”
– Warren Bennis

We have been working on creating a demo that would showcase the primary aspects of our watch. We have been using Powtoon to try and make a creative commercial/demo that could appeal to the viewers. We started working on it on Monday and are doing everything we can to get it done so we can finish with our surveys.
We will also need to get more responses to the newer surveys. We have already created our new survey now we just have to reach out to get more responses. We are hoping we will be able to get all the responses we need by the due date of this Friday.

We have been going around with our demo/commercial showcasing our app and we had gotten a lot of responses. Many were very helpful with changes that would help us and suggestions on what to add. As we are getting ready for our next presentation we are upgrading features of the app as well as trying to please the suggestions that were made.
Out of all the suggestions that we had one was that our app was a little bland. So we had went to all the pages and changed the background and buttons to be colorful instead of just the plain white. We then went around to most of the people that took out survey and asked if they though it was better. They agreed that it looked "Awesome" and they could not wait for it to come out.
11-5-19
We practiced a lot for the past few days to prepare for our presentation on Friday. We asked people in and out of school to check out our website and to give us any feedback. We used those feedback to enhance our website. We added a lot of new information on our website and we cant wait to talk about them.
We tried to come up with new ideas on how to present our new info and we cant wait to use them.

After practicing for this presentation, we were ready to present. Everything went to according to plan and we got a very good score of a 98%. Like always there are some things that we have to improve. In this presentation, we did rush a bit while talking which we will definitely work on for the next presentation. This was the main reason why we didn't get the perfect score.
After the presentation Mr. Jackman gave us the news that we will be presenting in the Black Box at Capstone Night. This was very good news for us because this means that we are one of the top 3 groups. We are going to work really hard so that we have a good night at Capstone.
"A good, sympathetic review is always a wonderful surprise. "
11-12-19
We now have to review our feedback to see what possible costumers like and dislike about our prototype. We then can change the priority of certain things of our prototype to best fit our costumers likes and needs. We watched a video that helped explain to us ways to use the feedback for our prototype and ways to try to advertise and get money to help in the creation of our prototype.
We are now going to be going into trying to fund raise money for our product. We will be looking into using go fund me so that we can get donations as soon as we can. We have to make sure though we don't falsify any information to ensure we don't get any lawsuits down the line.

11-15-19
This week we have been finishing up the improvements that were recommended to us by the people who took the survey. Me and habibul have changed the background of our app so it is not just bland. We also Added a few more medical features including asthma and a wound giving a total of 6 instant medical instructions for emergency situations.
We are currently looking into companies we can contact to assist up in updating the watch with more advanced features. We are going to make a plan before asking for money that way we know exactly what it is going for. We do not just want to ask for money to have it we are creating a goal first.
11-20-2019
Things went a little slow in the beginning of this week, because our teacher wasn't here.
We added new information to our websites. Some of the new information we added were improvement on our Prototype, Sales Idea, Blogs, and Constraints. We are planning to create a new scene in our next presentation to make is unique. Instead of someone choking and needs CPR, the person cut themselves and the audience has to use the MHW to help the person.

With thanksgiving coming up everyone was beginning to get a bit antsy about the upcoming break. We did the best we could to make sure we stayed on break with the last days before our small Thanksgiving break. We continued to work on trying to reach out with companies and working on organizing our presentations.
We have had to make sure we had everything in check for our presentations. Of course we have a lot of time but we want to make sure we are being productive during class time, even when we will be going on break.
"Rest when you're weary. Refresh and renew yourself, your body, your mind, your spirit. Then get back to work. "
12-2-2019
We just had a 4 day break which gave us enough time to refresh out brains. We had a lot of food on Thanksgiving which was very good.
We are also started working on Part D.1 in the research plan. For we need to come up with a plan to test our IV and see if it effected the DV. So far we have most of the steps in order to Test the IV. We are trying to see if we can have some of our possible patients test out our prototype in order to test our IV and see if it effected the DV.

In a couple of days, we present our final presentation in this class. With this next presentation we have a lot more requirements. We do have a little bit of more time but we have to use this time to do the requirements and more.
With practice we believe that we will be able to finally get the perfect score. The things we have to work on is voice and eyes/body. This meaning we have to practice being louder and walking around when presenting.
"I try to prepare for everything beyond the extent of preparation."
12-16-19
Our next presentation in a few days and we have a good amount done. All we have left is to finish up the evidence of product. We are trying to find more possible customers use our product. So far we have 4 possible customers using our product. They were able to write journals, put in their health data, and track there steps. This will be in our presentation to show proof that we had possible customers use our product.

During the holiday season we still worked a bit on our project but took a bit of a well needed break. We all spent time with our families, relaxing throughout the duration of the break. Everyone celebrated their own cultural holidays and events, while taking a small bit of time to add any ideas we have for our project.
Throughout the break the most we did was improve in our grammar and make corrections to any discrepancies. We did not make any new big functions or sections as we wanted to enjoy the break, not spend most of it working away on our projects.

We had a break for the new years but this did not discourage us from working. We went over our presentation and perfected it. We all had a great break and still got plenty of work done. We stayed in contact and made sure everything was good.
Going into 2020 waking up for school the next day was tough from the long break we had. The first day back was just getting back into the mix. We are now just preparing for finals. We cant wait for our final presentation and we hope to impress a lot of people.

After a long semester Capstone is finally coming to an end. Today we present our final presentation before Capstone Night next week. We have been practicing for a long time so we believe that we will do great. Our goal is to get a perfect score.
I can't wait to present our Capstone project to our family. That are very excited ever since I told them about our idea. I think that we are going to get a very good grade.
"I felt it a week before we left, every time. And then of course, when the time came, I was never ready to leave. I wanted to stay forever."

This is our last week of capstone. We now need to finish our Research Paper that we started last year in Capstone 1. All we are messing is the Table of Content and Conclusion.
Mr. Jackman wants us to sell our product, so are trying to sell Merch/Swag to have enough money to make another watch that we can sell. We have two watches now and another one showing how we want it to look like.
We also have to figure out what we will do with our company after capstone is done. Habibul will continue working on the app and watch. He is trying to make connecting the watch to the app
1-24-19
As the last day of Capstone, we just finished up all of the posters that we had to do. The good thing is that we already had the information in our paper so all we had to do is copy and paste what we wrote. We split up the work evenly so everybody had something to do.
Even though we are happy that capstone is over, we still plan on working on our product to improve it. We will also keep practicing our presentation. In several of months we have to present in skills 21 and in University of Bridgeport.
