The opportunity to teach students and collaborate with them on research projects is one of the primary reasons I aim to work in academia. I have greatly enjoyed teaching and designing course materials while in graduate school at Kyung Hee University, South Korea and currently working with Pakistani Universities. I look forward to continue contributing to Artificial Intelligence / Data Science / Computer Science education in the future.
Classroom Teaching
I have had teaching experience during my Ph.D. journey at Kyung Hee University for masters and PhD. Through my experience, I have had a chance to explore various aspects of designing, organizing and teaching courses.
Currently, I am working as an Assistant Professor (Computer Science) at the Department of Computer Science with the Pakistan’s first women university i.e. ”Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, Pakistan.” Previously, I also worked for ”Iqra University, Islamabad Campus, Pakistan” as an Assistant Professor (Artificial Intelligence). During these experiences I am involved in designing numerous courses pertaining to CS, AI, DS and conducting their classes, supervising Final year UG projects, supervision of MS students and examiner for PhD Thesis.
At the graduate and PhD level, I also had a challenging teaching experience which involved keeping multinational audience, who had varying levels of familiarity with the subject matter, interested and engrossed.
I was Teaching Assistant for the course on ”Advanced Software Engineering” with my Supervisor Prof. Sungyoung Lee. Also I had a chance of Teaching Assistant on four different occasions for subjects ”Semantic Web” twice, ”Expert Systems” and ”Web Engineering once” along with Prof. Wajahat Ali Khan from Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Kyung Hee University. I took up these tasks enthusiastically by assisting the instructor in teaching theoretical and practical aspects of the course. The additional responsibilities included assisting the instructor with:
Lecture Preparation: Preparation of lectures, assignments, quizzes, lab manuals, practical sessions, term projects, and supplementary coarse material.
Evaluations: Evaluations of assignment, quizzes, term projects, and online exams (ASE course).
Management: Management tasks such as mentoring student projects, assisting the students for their assigned lab tasks and project deliverable.
