A self-directed researcher with 21+ years of industry / academic experience in the field of data management, ETL operations, OBI dashboard designs, data analytics, reporting processes and deployments.

Demonstrated success and achieved several objectives in the field of Context-awareness computing, Unobtrusive Human Activity Recognition using Thermal Vision Sensors, Semantic Web Technologies, Data Fusion, and Semantic Data Imputation techniques.

Expertise in System Engineering, Business Intelligence, Software development, Requirement Analysis, Project Management, Proposal Writing, Research Article Writing, Patent Writing, Standards Writing and techniques to deal with any of challenging research analysis and comparative studies.

Although I have gained a solid background during my work experience in Government Sector, Private Sector and in the Academia. I had an extensive range of responsibilities including managing data, analysis of prominent features, identifying the gaps and missing attributes and values, selecting features, optimizing classifiers, mining data, expanding any shape of data by incorporating third-party sources, improving data quality by optimizing techniques, processing data, and doing a detailed analysis. During these responsible tasks, I was required to have excellent communication skills, understanding of algorithms, excellence in different tools, such as R, MatLab tool kit, Python, OriginPro, Oracle, Teradata, Weka, knowledge of SQL/PL/SQL, and excellence in applied statistics.

During working at one of the prestigious banks i.e. “Askari Bank Limited” in Pakistan I had a chance to contribute as a Business Intelligence Analyst field of data management, ETL operations, Oracle BI dashboard designs, data analytics, MIS reporting processes and deployments at Bank level.

My abilities as a faculty member are rooted in a sturdy education in Computers and mathematics. I began with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics. I followed this with a Master's degree in Information Technology, Database Track from SEECS, NUST, Pakistan. I feel lucky to publish a unique paper using Twitter to Predict “Pakistan’s Election 2013” using Artificial Intelligence. The title of the study is “Prediction and Analysis of Pakistan Election 2013 based on sentiment analysis” published in ASONAM, a premium conference held in China in Aug 2014.  Furthermore, I pursued PhD in computer engineering at Kyung Hee University, South Korea with the thesis “Semantic-aware Data Imputation for Unobtrusive Complex Human Activity Recognition”.

Additionally, during my PhD studies and I demonstrated research success and achieved several objectives in the field of Context-awareness computing, Unobtrusive Human Activity Recognition, Semantic Web Technologies, Data Fusion, and Semantic Data Imputation techniques. With these academic research opportunities, I gained expertise in System Engineering, Business Intelligence, Software development, Requirement Analysis, and Project Management intensively.

I also have been involved as Assistant Professor / Teaching Assistant for Computer Science courses taught to UG, Masters and PhD candidates at Fatima Jinnah Women University, Iqra University, and Kyung Hee University Global Campus. My major roles were to design labs, supervise project presentations, prepare and deliver lectures, and supervise MS and undergraduate students in their research.

I attribute my success as majorly an Assistant Professor, particularly in large part to this extensive and in-depth education. I believe my personality has also played a major role in my ability to succeed in this career. I am extremely analytical, data-oriented, and calculated.
