Doctor of Philosophy
I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Lyle School of Engineering, Southern Methodist University (SMU), where I am a research assistant at the Biological, Sensing, Actuation, and Transport (BAST) Laboratory under the supervision of Professor Minjun Kim.
Ph.D. courses:
Multivariable Linear Control Theory
Intermediate Fluid Dynamics
Intro to Solid Mechanics
Python for Computer Science
Intermediate Dynamics
Nano-bio Manufacturing
Vehicle Dynamics
Machine Learning in Python
Master of Science
I pursued and completed an MSc. degree from the same department in December 2023. My master's thesis focused on the mathematical, MSC ADAMS, and Simscape modeling of rigid and flexible link manipulators, where I directed my efforts towards optimizing controller gains for the proportional integral derivative (PID) controller and sliding mode controller (SMC) through the application of metaheuristic optimization algorithms.
M.Sc. courses:
Continuum Mechanics,
Variational Mechanics,
Advanced Theory of Vibration,
Dynamics of Robotics,
Introduction to Engineering Materials,
Measurement Technology,
Engineering Computational Methods,
Advanced Engineering Mathematics.
Bachelor
I earned my BSc. with an excellent degree with first-class honors from Zagazig University, Egypt, in 2020.
