Doctor of Philosophy
I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Lyle School of Engineering, Southern Methodist University (SMU), where I am a research assistant at the Biological, Sensing, Actuation, and Transport (BAST) Laboratory under the supervision of Professor Minjun Kim.
Ph.D. courses:
Multivariable Linear Control Theory (A)
Intermediate Fluid Dynamics (B+)
Intro to Solid Mechanics (A)
Python for Computer Science (A)
Intermediate Dynamics (A)
Nano-bio Manufacturing (A)

Master of Science
I pursued and completed an MSc. degree from the same department in December 2023, obtaining a GPA of 3.94/4. My master's thesis focused on the mathematical, MSC ADAMS, and Simscape modeling of rigid and flexible link manipulators, where I directed my efforts towards optimizing controller gains for the proportional integral derivative (PID) controller and sliding mode controller (SMC) through the application of metaheuristic optimization algorithms.
M.Sc. courses:
Continuum Mechanics,
Variational Mechanics,
Advanced Theory of Vibration,
Dynamics of Robotics,
Introduction to Engineering Materials,
Measurement Technology,
Engineering Computational Methods,
Advanced Engineering Mathematics.
Bachelor
I earned my BSc. with an excellent degree with first-class honors from Zagazig University, Egypt, in 2020.
