Ibadah (عبادة) - Worship: Acts of devotion and obedience to Allah.
Iblis (إبليس) - The Devil: The name of the jinn who refused to bow to Adam and was cast out of heaven.
Ihram (إحرام) - State of consecration: The sacred state a Muslim enters for Hajj or Umrah.
Ijtihad (اجتهاد) - Independent reasoning: The process of making a legal decision by independent interpretation of the legal sources.
Ikhlas (إخلاص) - Sincerity: Performing actions with genuine devotion to Allah alone.
Imam (إمام) - Leader: A person who leads the prayer or a leader of the Muslim community.
Iman (إيمان) - Faith: Belief in Allah, His angels, His books, His prophets, the Day of Judgment, and His decree.
Iftar (إفطار) - Breaking of the fast: The meal eaten by Muslims after sunset during Ramadan.
Ihsan (إحسان) - Excellence: Doing things in the best possible manner, with sincerity and perfection.
Ijma (إجماع) - Consensus: Agreement of Muslim scholars on a particular issue.
