MU Online (MuOnline, Mu Online) is an online multiplayer game (MMORPG) that has become one of the most popular multiplayer role–playing games in the world. The extensive game world, beautifully implemented group quests and catchy music set this game apart from others.
The player can choose from five types of characters: warrior, wizard, elf, magical gladiator and dark lord. The main characteristics of the characters are strength, agility, life, and mana (magic power).
The Dark Knight possesses great strength, powerful weapons and skillfully destroys the monsters inhabiting the continent of MU.
The Dark Wizard is slightly weaker than the warrior at the beginning of the game, but he has spells that damage several monsters at the same time, which significantly speeds up pumping – an undeniable advantage in the world of MuOnline.
Fairy Elf can be upgraded in one of two ways: agility or energy. An elf with improved agility is able to gain a level on her own, without companions. Such elves are valued for using a bow or crossbow to kill monsters at a long distance. It is much more difficult for an elf with upgraded energy to gain a level, but she knows how to heal and strengthen other characters, and is indispensable in group battles. You have to level up in a team with a warrior or a wizard – you cast friendly magic on him, he shares his experience with you.
All three types of characters are well balanced among themselves, all have approximately equal advantages and disadvantages in front of each other. You can create multiple characters on the same account (account). And after you reach a certain level in the game, you will have the opportunity to create a magical gladiator or dark lord.
The Magic Gladiator combines almost all the strengths of a magician and a warrior. In fact, he is both a magician and a warrior at the same time! But there is a price to pay for such an incredible advantage – a gladiator cannot wear a helmet. This means that the armor gives a lower percentage of protection. But this disadvantage is offset by the lethal attacking power of this character, which makes him a unique character in MuOnline.
The Dark Lord commands animals – a raven and a horse. These magical creatures provide strong support to the lord in all battles. Moreover, they gain experience and grow up with their master.
Summoner controls the elements and summons magical creatures to help him. She also has the unique ability to take the life force of her enemies. Some consider the summoner to be the female incarnation of a magical gladiator.
The vast world of the MU continent is represented by many maps with unique landscapes. There are green expanses of meadows inhabited by huge insects, and snow-covered forests with northern predators, and deserts with sand giants, and dungeons with skeletons, and an underwater world with mermaids. And when your character gets wings in his outfit, you can climb to the clouds in the heavenly city.
But first you get to a small town or village, depending on which type of character you have chosen. The warriors and mages start in the city of Lorencia, and the elves start in a village called Noria. Here you can buy weapons, clothes and equipment. A variety of monsters await you outside the village: from cute little bugs to bloodthirsty monsters.
.
Monsters outside the city are good, but getting out of the city is not easy. If you make the wrong exit, you will fall into the clutches of especially strong monsters and that's it – you will be resurrected in the city. The good news is that when you die in the game, only the experience gained to reach the next level is lost, and the level itself does not decrease. Therefore, the death of a character is unpleasant, but not fatal.
In MuOnline, you can also attack other players (PvP), causing a whole massacre! But after several kills, the character's nickname will turn red. The killer (PK) will not go unpunished. First, murderers can be killed by "respectable" players, receiving hero status for this. Secondly, the killer may lose one or more items from his inventory and a significant part of the experience gained during his death. Thirdly, PK loses the ability to teleport between cities, which appears after level 50. But despite this, killing each other by players is common in the world of MU Online. After all, they have something to share – things, experience, hunting grounds, and just the glory of valiant warriors. Therefore, battles occur frequently and everywhere.
It's enough to spend some time in the game to pay attention to the abundance of sparkling things and weapons. For many characters, things sparkle invitingly or shimmer with all the colors of the rainbow.
.
The fact is that MU Online has an excellent upgrade system, that is, improvements to things. You can improve any thing, you just need to have gems, which very rarely fall out of monsters. These stones are so valuable that they are a kind of currency in the game. But stones alone are not enough, you also need luck. Each gem improves the item by one level. The better an item gets, the less likely it is that the stone will be able to improve the item rather than make it worse... or break it altogether. It turns out that at the beginning of the game it is better to accumulate stones and buy improved items from the players for them than to take risks yourself.
At high levels, items will have to be improved in a special Chaos Machine using different gems and some other necessary ingredient. This is quite an interesting activity, because you never know for sure whether a thing will improve or disappear altogether if it fails. In general, this activity is not for the faint of heart.
The player development system in MU Online is generally classic for the genre of RPG and MMORPG games. You gain experience for killing monsters and completing various quests. Each next level requires a little more experience than the previous one. By getting levels, you earn points to distribute to the main parameters. By increasing these parameters, you become stronger and more skilled in combat, get the opportunity to carry better weapons, use new skills and spells.
In the multiplayer universe, relationships between players play an important role. In addition to the previously mentioned opportunity to fight each other, there are more civilized ways to communicate with each other. MuOnline has a well-developed trade and exchange. You can stop by Davias's Bazaar at any time and bargain with other players there. Players can also create guilds, and guilds can form alliances! Guild leaders can declare war on each other or resolve conflicts peacefully by playing football.
Gaining experience alone can quickly get boring. But you won't be bored in MU Online! The game has a large number of quests, tasks that are not so easy to complete. But, having completed the task, you will receive a good reward and a lot of impressions. Moreover, almost all of these adventures are designed for team play. Organize a team where each player, each race, is assigned a specific place. Think of a strategy and go into battle
Help the wounded archangel to enter the Blood Castle with an endless bridge and a crystal statue to get and return the sacred weapon to him.
Fight hordes of monsters in Devil's Square and prove that no one can defeat the heroes of the MU continent.
Who can stand on the roof of Chaos Castle, fighting their reflections?
Only one guild with its alliance will be able to capture and own the only huge castle (Castle Siege) on the entire MuOnline server, occupying an entire location, and adjacent hunting grounds. But capturing is not enough. We also need to keep him. Those who wish to receive such a prize are constantly besieging the castle walls!
Protect the lands of MU and the magical statue of the wolf (Crywolf) from the invasion of monsters! It is impossible to retreat, otherwise the entire game world will be subjected to the oppression of evil forces.
Fight against the terrible technomagic creatures of a lost race in the lost city of Kantru.
As well as many other adventures and events await you in the magical world of MuOnline.
