Project 1 is due on week 6 (9/18/2026). Tittle: எனக்குப் பிடித்த இடம். (Favorite place that you visited)

·         Kids can use a photo or post-card or they can draw & color or cut & paste the picture of their favorite place which they visited in a construction paper. Name the place as a title to your drawing/photo in Tamil.

·         Cover Page should contain the following information in Tamil.·         (Ask the kids to write this section)

1.    Student name

2.    Class and section 

3.    Date

4.    Title of the page - the name of the place you visited 

In class, they need to tell 

1) the Name of the place & whom they traveled with

     2) Why is it their favorite place? 

     3) One interesting fact about that place.

 Marks will be given based on how clearly kids tell the sentences in Tamil in class. 

Project 2 is due on week 12 (11/6/2026). Tittle: எனக்குப் பிடித்த உணவு. (My favorite food)

1.  Bring a toy of their favorite food or they can draw & color or cut & paste a picture of the food in a construction paper.

2.  They to tell 5 sentences about that food in Tamil. 

   1. •  what food is that

      •  why the student likes it 

      •  name any two ingredients of that food. 

      •  which country does it belong to

      • one interesting fact about that food. 

3. Marks will be given based on their picture & how clearly kids say the sentences in Tamil.

Project 3 is due on week 19 (1/22/2027). Tittle: எனக்குப் பிடித்த வீட்டு விலங்கு. (My favorite pet)

1.  Bring a photo or toy of their favorite pet or they can draw & color or cut & paste a picture of their favorite pet in a construction paper 

2.  They need to tell 5 sentences about their favorite pet they have at home or wish to have in conversational Tamil. 

   • What animal/bird do they have or like to have as a pet and why ? 

   • Is their pet a farm animal (பண்ணை விலங்கு ), or a wild animal (காட்டு விலங்கு ) ?

   • Who takes care of the pet 

   • What do they feed their pet 

   • What's the favorite thing they do with their pet. 

3. Marks will be given based on their picture & how clearly kids say the sentences in Tamil.

Project 4 is due on week 25 (3/12/2027). Tittle: கதை நேரம் (Story Time) 

1. Students create a map. The map should have a starting point and 2places/obstacles (any 2 things) etc to reach a destination. In these 2 places/obstacles kids do actions to overcome the obstacle. 

2.  Example: ஐயோ! ஆழமான ஆறு. என்ன பண்ணலாம் . குதிச்சு போக முடியாது .. ஹூம் .. நடந்து போக முடியாது ..ஹா படகுல போகலாம் இல்லாட்டி நீந்தி போகலாம் ..நீந்து நீந்து நீந்து ..

3. Here place1/ostacle1 is ஆழமான ஆறு. 

4. Kids have to draw & color or cut & paste the pictures of the starting point, place1, place2 and destination in the map. 

5. In class students tell the project as a story in conversational Tamil. These points will be part of the story.  

   • My name is _________ 

   • What’s their starting point, what is place1 and how will they reach place1 

   • Did they reach place1 according to their plan. If not, mention how the plan changed. 

   • After reaching place1, what is place2 and how will they reach place2? 

   •  After reaching place2, what is their destination and how will they reach it? 

   • Reached destination – How was their trip?  

6. Marks will be given based on how kids present their project, and answer any questions related to project, fluently in Tamil.
