CSU's Health Profession Student Association (HPSA) is a student organization that is composed of CSU students who aspire to be future health professionals. HPSA is composed of two branches: 1) Medical and 2) Rehabilitative Therapies (HPSA-RT). HPSA-RT is composed of students who are interested in occupational and physical therapy as a profession.
MTSA has been partnering with HPSA-RT to provide interdisciplinary opportunities for members of both HPSA and MTSA. These opportunities have included:
Case study panels with occupational, physical, and music therapists
Volunteer opportunities with other CSU health profession students
Guest speakers from various non-profit organizations for populations that rehabilitative therapies serve
HPSA is a great way for music therapy students to learn about interdisciplinary relationships with other health professionals, network with other CSU students, and advocate for their future profession of music therapy.
