My name is Anna Miller and I am an 8th grade social studies teacher at Miller Middle School. This is my 5th year teaching with experience in special education and general education. I am a building rep, a member of the Miller Building Data Team, as well as the Miller PBIS team.

I've been a building rep for Lenihan since 2010. I am also a member of the Negotiations team. I began my teaching career teaching 7th graders at Anson Middle School and moved to Lenihan when the building reopened as an intermediate school in 2006. I have been the Instructional Coach at Lenihan since 2011. I live in Marshalltown with my husband Tyson and my three sons, Trenten, Ashten, and Brenden. All three of my sons are students in Marshalltown Community Schools and participants in our Dual Language Program.

When I'm not teaching, I'm busy directing the local Sweet Adelines Chorus, directing three ensembles at Central Christian Church, or giving piano and voice lessons to 15 students. I love to hang out with my cats Niko, Walter, and Wateka.

I have been with the district for 9 years. I started teaching at MHS in the business department for 5 years. For the last 4 years, I have been teaching reading at Lenihan for half of the day. The other half of the day I am at MLA teaching career and computer classes. I am the building rep at MLA and occasionally help out at Lenihan.
