Know your rights!  The New Jersey Parents Rights in Special Education (PRISE) is a great place to start to learn about special education referral and IEP process.  It contains information about eligibility, mediation of disputes, due process, and transition as well as forms for requests for mediation, due process, and more.   (Caveat - we are not laywers and do not provide legal advice. PRISE also does not apply to 504 plans.)
