We are happy to have David as our Head Building Rep! As HBR, he handles all building correspondence and supports the building reps. He also assists with PRIDE events and MTEA elections.
Each rep will hold a monthly 10-minute meeting to share important issues discussed at Rep Council. This is an important communication for our union. Be sure to attend your meetings!

GRIEVANCE - Your grievance rep is TBD, when you have questions about something you are asked to do that may go beyond what is in our contract, contact Dave Gordon with questions.
Some examples are:
• You are asked to attend an event outside of school hours without pay
• You are asked to attend a meeting on your lunch period
• You lose your prep due to a change in schedule
If an administrator asks you to do something, you should do it so that you are not being insubordinate. However, you do need to contact Dave to make sure this isn't something that violates contract language.
HEALTH BENEFITS - Contact Jocelyn Keefe for:
• Unresolved issues with Prescription, NVA (Vision), Horizon Dental, Medical. Please have all of your information ready for Jocelyn after you have: 1. Spoken with someone at the company 2. Contacted with Brown & Brown (broker for district).
• Verification of your maternity leave dates after you have met with HR.
Most evaluation questions can be answered by looking on the “Teacher Resource” page in the staff portal on the district website.
MTEA members assisted administration in developing the FAQ on this page, which is a very valuable resource.
