Your building Vice President Dave Gordon brings any issues that cannot be resolved at the building level to our monthly Superintendent Round Table meetings. These meetings include MTEA President, all MTEA Vice Presidents, Superintendent, Asst. Superintendent, and Human Resources Director. As Vice President Dave Gordon will meet regularly with the building Principal and Vice-Principal. Dave Gordon gathers info from building reps, grievance reps, and evaluation reps to determine if there is a pattern of issues that need to be addressed at higher levels.

The Representative Council of the MTEA meets the second Monday of every month to review MTEA committee reports and discuss any new business items.

We are happy to have David as our Head Building Rep! As HBR, he handles all building correspondence and supports the building reps. He also assists with PRIDE events and MTEA elections.

GRIEVANCE - Your grievance rep is TBD, when you have questions about something you are asked to do that may go beyond what is in our contract, contact Dave Gordon with questions.
Some examples are:
• You are asked to attend an event outside of school hours without pay
• You are asked to attend a meeting on your lunch period
• You lose your prep due to a change in schedule
If an administrator asks you to do something, you should do it so that you are not being insubordinate. However, you do need to contact Dave to make sure this isn't something that violates contract language.

• Unresolved issues with Prescription, NVA (Vision), Horizon Dental, Medical. Please have all of your information ready for Jocelyn after you have: 1. Spoken with someone at the company 2. Contacted with Brown & Brown (broker for district).
• Verification of your maternity leave dates after you have met with HR.
