Friends of Mt Abraham Musical Theatre

Friends of Mount Abraham Musical Theatre is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization operated exclusively for charitable purposes, which supports the musicals at MAUHS. With generous donations from our community, we have purchased equipment for the MAUHS Performing Arts Center and provided significant financial support for each production. Scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors who participated in the fall and spring musicals throughout their Mt. Abe careers. Tax-deductible contributions are very gratefully received and can be sent to:

FMAMT supports multiple fundraising initiatives, and we welcome help wherever it can be given:

• Bottle Drive in Monkton- Parent and student volunteers are needed on October 10th and 24th at Monkton recycling center, 9:00 am-12:00 pm. This involves receiving bottles and cans from Monkton residents and helping residents carry recycling from their vehicles to the containers. At noon, we deliver the bottles to Bristol Redemption. This is a community service opportunity and a fundraiser for the musical. Please contact Joan Holloway at fmafminc@gmail.com to volunteer.

• Bottle Drive in Bristol- Returnable bottles and cans may be dropped off at Bristol Redemption (21 Prince Lane, Bristol, VT) year-round and specified as a donation to: "Mt. Abe Musical Theatre."

• Bake Sales- every participant is asked to contribute to the bake sales, which occur at each show before and after performances and at intermissions. Volunteers are also needed to help sell baked goods during the show. Information and sign-ups will be available during the rehearsal months.

• Program Ads- are sold to cover the cost of printing the program. Information will be sent out during rehearsal months.

• Basket Raffle - We raffle off themed gift baskets before the show and during intermission. Winners are drawn following the final performance. If parents have connections to local businesses that might be willing to donate an item, we would love to hear from you. Donors will be thanked in the show program.

• Neat Repeats Donations- Donate clothing items year-round at 1428 Route 7 South, Middlebury, VT, and specify donation for “Friends of Mt Abe Musical Theatre” (#199)
