Ways to help!
There are many ways that parents can help support the musicals, and so much of what we do depends on the generosity of parent involvement. We are so grateful for the many ways that parents contribute to the success of the Fall and Spring musicals! Two of the biggest ways parents can help and be involved include Volunteering (see below) and Fundraising (see Fundraising Tab in the navigation bar at the top of this page).
Volunteering
There are many opportunities for parents to volunteer throughout the run of the show, particularly during the shows. We can't do it without you! We will be specifically seeking front of house volunteers, help with food and refreshments, help with hair and makeup and backstage chaperones. Help is also needed on Saturday set days.
MAUSD district policy requires all adult volunteers to register, and be fingerprinted and have a background check. Please contact Patricia Towsley patricia.towsley@mausd.org for information regarding fingerprinting and registration. Click on the "Volunteer Forms" at the top of this page to download the forms. Fingerprinting is free for volunteers at the Bristol Police Station.
Where to get information
In addition to this webpage, you can also join our Facebook group Mt Abe UHS Musical Theatre Parents and students will receive weekly email updates from the show directors during show seasons. Show participants will be included in a Google Classroom which will provide practice information and bulletins.
Dates are included on the all-school main calendar, however, details for each rehearsal day are not included there so please check the Google calendar that you can download as well.
