Use a sentence stem from the accountable talk chart if you get stuck!
Use the resources around the room and online to help guide you through your work.
Most of all, ask Ms. Yanolatos a lot of questions until you fully understand.
Answer questions completely and accurately. ANSWER THE QUESTION ALL THE WAY.
Answer the question being asked.
Provide the right answer at the right time. Do not skip ahead. Describe the steps.
Use vocabulary from the word wall in your speaking and writing
Use the rubric or checklist to make sure you completed everything. If you're not sure, ASK QUESTIONS!
Think, how or why.
What is another way I can answer the question?
What is a better word I can use in my answer?
What evidence supports my answer?
Always write in the correct grammatical format.
As we learn new grammar, make sure you are incorporating it into your speaking and writing.
Write complete sentences.
Include correct capitalization and punctuation in your sentences.
Write different types of sentences and vary the lengths of your sentences.
