Current Research Scholars
Mr. Aaditya Pandey is a mechanical engineer, currently pursuing his Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee in Polymer and process engineering department. He received his M.Tech. in packaging technology from IIT Roorkee and B.Tech. from Kumaun Engineering College Dwarahat, India in Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Pandey is having industrial experience of more than three years in the production and packaging industry. His research area includes the application of membrane processes for fruit juice processing. His focus is on scaling lab research to the industrial level. He is working on developing novel systems for membrane processing modules.
Mr. Prashant Singh is currently pursuing his doctoral degree at IIT Roorkee. He completed his M.Tech. in the Hydro and Renewable Energy department at IIT Roorkee after obtaining his B.Tech. in Biotechnology from SRM University, Tamil Nadu, India. Mr. Prashant's research focuses on the utilization of biochar for arsenic adsorption in water and soil treatment applications. His expertise extends to the development of biochar composites for heavy metal removal and carbon sequestration, accompanied by life cycle assessments.
Mr. Abhishek Verma visionary is Chemical Engineer and currently pursuing PhD in Department of Polymer and Process Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. He has completed his Master of Technology from Department of Paper Technology at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in 2018. He has obtained his Engineering degree from Institute of Engineering and Technology Lucknow in 2016. Currently, he is working on development of ambient air purification device using adsorption and membrane filtration. He is developing mixed metal oxide as adsorber and also using modified biochar to remove the gaseous pollutants like NO2, SO2, and VOCs from the ambient air at very low concentration with effective separation. He also has industrial experience in Ion Exchange India Limited as Service Engineer for water treatment and paper machine. He is also General Secretary Campus Affairs at IIT Roorkee (2023-2024). He has showed his managerial skills as Sports Secretary at IIT Roorkee in 2022 and in 2023 as wellness coordinator at IIT Roorkee
Mr. Anil Kumar is a Chemist pursuing his Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee in the Department of Polymer and Process Engineering. He received his Master of Science in Chemistry from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, and a Bachelor of Science from Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra. His research area includes the recovery of nitrogen and phosphorus from wastewater. He is working on nutrient recovery from wastewater through the application of membrane separation and adsorption.
Mr. Himanshu Kumar Sadhya is Civil and Environmental Engineer, currently pursuing his Ph.D. from IIT Roorkee in Polymer and Process Engineering Department. He received his M.Tech in Environmental Engineering from NIT Surat and B.Tech in Civil Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra. Mr. Himanshu is having more than 8 Years of experience in teaching diploma and undergraduate students. His research area includes the Application of Sustainability in Developing New Technologies, Carbon Footprint, Environmental Impact Assessment, Wastewater Reclamation, Waste-To-Energy, Waste Utilization and Minimization. He is working on Developing Novel System for Water and Wastewater Treatment using Life Cycle Assessment approach.
Miss Hina Fatima pursuing Phd from IIT Roorkee in polymer and processing engineering department. I have done M.Sc in chemistry from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. I have done M.Tech in Nanotechnology from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. My research area includes the "MOFs using for removal of organic pollutants from wastewater treatment

Vineet Mishra is a dedicated researcher pursuing a Master of Technology in Polymer and Process Engineering at IIT Roorkee, with a B.Tech in Textile Technology from IICT Bhadohi. His master's thesis, “Ceramic Membrane for Micropollutant Removal,” reductions in micropollutants. His undergraduate research focused on piezoelectric energy harvesting in hand-tufted carpets, promoting sustainable energy solutions. Vineet has presented his work at national conferences, showcasing his innovative approach to environmental challenges and sustainable practices in water treatment and textile manufacturing
Mohammad Atif is a mechanical engineer, currently pursuing his master's in Polymer and process engineering department, IIT Roorkee. His research area includes lithium ion concentration using the forward osmosis technique. His objective is to open new frontiers for the potential application of FO membranes.
