The Team

Dr. Ann Marie Ryan is a Professor of Organizational Psychology at Michigan State University. Her research interests involve improving the quality and fairness of employee selection methods, and topics related to diversity and justice in the workplace. In addition to publishing extensively in these areas, she regularly consults with organizations on improving assessment practices. She is a past president of SIOP, and past editor of Personnel Psychology. She received her B.S. from Xavier University, and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Graduate Student Members

Caitlin Briggs (she/her) is in her 5th year of the Organizational Psychology Ph.D. program. She came to MSU from the University at Albany (SUNY) where she received her B.A. in Psychology. She is interested in diversity at work, and has worked on projects focused on gender, age, and race.

Sarah Kuang (she/her) is a 4th year Ph.D. student in the Organizational Psychology program at Michigan State University. She obtained her B.A. in Psychology from Cal State Fullerton in 2018 and her M.A. from Michigan State University in 2020. Her research interests broadly include workplace diversity- specifically, issues that pertain to women and other underrepresented groups in STEM- as well as multiculturalism and gamification.

Jo Alanis (she/her) is a 3rd year Ph.D. student in the Organizational Psychology program. She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Houston in 2018, and her M.A. from MSU in 2021. Her research interests broadly include diversity, equity, & inclusion and well-being in the workplace.

Connor Eichenauer (he/him) is a 3rd year student in the Organizational Psychology Ph.D. program. He received his B.A. in Psychology from Manchester University in 2019. He is primarily interested in studying bias and discrimination in the evaluation of individuals in selection and leadership contexts.

William Scott (he/him) is a 2nd year student in the Organizational Psychology Ph.D. program. He received his B.S. in Psychology from Texas A&M University in 2020. His research interests broadly include organizational justice (in relation to equity and inclusion), cross-cultural research, and fair hiring practices.
