Award Criteria

The Baby Boomer - Legends Award

This award recognizes an MSU Black Alumna or Alumnus who has proven outstanding leadership, dedication to MSUBA and outstanding community service involvement and a commitment to the MSUBA goals and objectives. This person was born between the years of 1946-1964.

Generation X - Excellence Award

This award recognizes an MSU Black Alumna or Alumnus who has made significant contributions to MSUBA and the MSU community through innovation and community involvement and a commitment to MSUBA goals and objectives. The person was born between the years of 1965 - 1976.

Generation Y - Millennial Award

This award recognizes a recent graduate or MSU Black Alumna or Alumnus who has shown tremendous potential toward leadership and community involvement. This member is committed to civic engagement and inspires their generation to become involved in community and civic responsibilities. This person was born between the years of 1977 - 1994.

Generation Z - Rising Star Award

This award recognizes a recent graduate or MSU Black Alumna or Alumnus who has shown tremendous potential toward leadership and community involvement. This member is committed to civic engagement and inspires their generation to become involved in community and of civic responsibilities. This person was born between the years of 1995 - 2001.
