Jovy Zarate

Jovy has been following the Manila theater scene since 2012. Her reviews and other theater-related writing have been published in BusinessWorld, CoverStory.ph, and The Diarist.ph, and can also be read in the online global theater portal The Theatre Times. She is also a media producer and creative director currently working on Maaram, a series of documentaries on intangible cultural heritage, which has aired on ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC). Her academic research focuses on heritage and critically probes into the lived experiences of communities wrestling with tradition amid the challenges of change and modernity.
