At TAES, we comply by the MN state standards through a variety of curriculums.
Our math curriculum, Bridges, is a comprehensive PK–5 curriculum that equips teachers to fully address state standards in a rigorous, engaging, and accessible manner. Students gain a deep understanding of concepts, proficiency with key skills, and the ability to solve complex problems, as stated on their website.
In first grade, we engage students in all three components of Bridges; Number Corner, Work Places, and Problems & Investigation.
Our reading curriculum, CKLA, engages students in literacy, reading, writing, comprehension, language development, and content knowledge.
The CKLA curriculum is new to TAES this year! We are excited to see what it has to offer and are curious to see how this curriculum will assist in literacy development.
Our phonics curriculum, UFLI, targets foundational reading skills considering letter development, phonemes, segmenting, letter sounds, decoding, and much more.
Our goal is to engage all first grade students in cross curricular, developmentally appropriate lessons daily to achieve student success, as established and declared by the MN Department of Education.
