Meet Your 2025-26 MSSL Officers!
Vihaan Sharma is a senior at Irvington High School and an avid pianist who has been playing the instrument since he was five. He enjoys playing music because of its ability to tell stories and express emotions in unique ways. Vihaan's favorite composers are Frédéric Chopin and Franz Liszt, and his favorite piece is the Revolutionary Etude by Chopin. He is excited to serve as the president of the Southern Alameda County Branch of the MSSL for the 2025-2026 season.
Allison is a junior at Mission San Jose High School. She has been involved with music since she was 5 years old! She started out playing piano, but later switched to cello. Her interest in cello was sparked by her sister, and after spending eleven years playing her cello, it almost feels like an extension of her body. Her hobbies outside of playing cello include writing, drawing, hanging out with her friends and animals, and listening to K-Pop.
Alyssa is a junior at Proof School and the Vice President for MSSL. Alyssa loves various textures and melodies in music that combine to form a harmonious piece. As a pianist, Alyssa loves listening or playing fast, melodious pieces.
Alexis Santosa is in her sophomore year in Harker High School, and loves playing her guitar and singing. She also likes to write her own songs and poetry in her free time, along with playing the piano to her favorite Japanese song pieces. Alexis believes that music heals the soul, and is a beautiful way to make the world a better place.
Ryan is a junior at American High School and loves to play the piano. He believes that one of the best feelings in the world is being eager to learn a song that resonates with you, especially the anticipation after just hearing the song for the first time. He loves all kinds of music, from lyrical to virtuosic pieces, and his favorite composer is Chopin.
Christina Wang is a Sophomore in high school and has been playing the piano since she was 5 years old. She’s always loved pieces from the Romantic period, especially Chopin’s many waltzes. Christina’s favorite aspect of music is how it allows people express their emotions through an instrument like an outlet.
Meghna is a junior at Washington High School. She has been playing the piano since she was five years old and the flute since she was eight. She has also been singing for around five years. Meghna loves to play piano pieces from the Romantic period because they are melodic and dramatic. One thing she loves about music is how it can tell stories and convey powerful emotions to reflect a certain mood, which she sees a lot in orchestral concerts.
Tanya is a junior at American High School and has been passionate about playing the piano since she was five. She loves contemporary and romantic music, and her favorite piano composers are Chopin and Debussy. She is excited to return as a public relations officer for MSSL this season. Besides playing the piano, Tanya enjoys reading, listening to music, and spending time with her friends, and she looks forward to meeting new people this season!
