Adapted Discovery Education curriculum to fit the needs of all of my students by implementing engaging, differentiated and culturally responsive lessons both synchronously and asynchronously.

Advocated for equitable grading practices in collaboration with a math PLC and a team of teachers leading to a school wide policy change surrounding equitable grading practices and curriculum changes.

Initiated creating individualized learning plans for Spanish speaking students through bilingual conferences with their guardians leading to highly successful outcomes shown through student’s academic progress.

Created a classroom environment that supported the needs of each individual student based off of their IEP accommodations and modifications and informal observations.

Taught a community living course that focused on building students social, emotional and academic skills that resulted in growth both in their self-care practices and their community living skills.

Collaborated with cooperating teacher, para educators and other Special Education teachers to create and implement new classroom procedures to aid students with severe behavioral issues which resulted in a classroom learning environment that allowed for all of the students to learn.

Assisted with classroom tasks including creating lesson plans, leading discussions and grading student work.

Cultivated deep relationships with students while showing a heart-felt passion for teaching.

Demonstrated the ability to step into a leadership role as needed, while creating engaging and adaptable lessons.
