Cut is a platform I co-created with Morteza Ansarinia.

It offers customizable templates of tasks and questions which are chained together to form a JSON object (see the exhibit on the right).

The survey, visible to the subject, is created by loading this JSON object.

Cut offers 4 distinct contributions:

Responsive, interactive, streamlined user experience (e.g., subject).
A standrdize platform to implement and share new tasks by anyone.
Easy extension of studies into other languages.
JSON format data, a common format that simplifies analyzing data (e.g., independent of study language).

The content of each element on the JSON chain is specified and tagged in a separate file.

The tagged content can be made available in any language. Subjects can choose a language and receive the survey in that language.

For example, the code below specifies a Go/NoGo task in the JSON chain.

It can be run in Farsi or English. When a user selects English, the code below is retrieved to replace the tags (e.g., gonogo.introduction) in presentation to the subject:

Other available tasks include the BART and the Stroop Task, in addition to various survey elements such as multiple choice questions, matrices, and slider scales.
