Section Overview:
In this section, you will find methods of effective teaching instruction that I have used during my teaching practices. Below are examples of evaluations, formative assessments, different artifacts, etc.
Below are some photos of myself instructing students:
Video Samples of in the Classroom:
The video above demonstrates how I introduce a lesson, go over learning targets, and imply directions for students for a physical education lesson. The lesson was taught to 5th grade during the basketball unit.
The video above demonstrates how I can facilitate a class discussion in physical education. I ended a class by asking three higher level thinking questions to 8th grade students after practicing field hockey.
Evaluations with Lessons and Reflections:
During my first placement of student teaching, I taught badminton to 4th grade students. To view my supervisor's evaluation, my reflection of the lesson, and the lesson plan, click on the links.
During my second placement student teaching, I taught golf to 7th grade students. To view my supervisor's evaluation, my reflection of the lesson, and the lesson plan, click on the links.
Lesson Planning:
If you click on the photo to your left, you will find a lesson plan with strong formative assessment for a 12th grade health class about mental health. The purpose of this lesson is to showcase my formative assessment techniques during instruction.
Videos Modeling for Students:
Below are videos of myself modeling and demonstrating a variety of exercises for 7th and 8th grade students in preparation of a Flexible Instruction Day (FID). Students were asked to try the exercises stated in the videos to keep themselves physical active.
