Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
I am an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion because it is crucial for all students to know who they are and to feel equal with their peers and the world around them. No student in my classroom shall feel discriminated against and any behavior that is deemed inappropriate to this degree will result in a phone call home to parents and a visit to the principles office.
Diversity is "The practice or quality of including or involving people from a range of different social and ethnic backgrounds and of different genders, sexual orientations, etc." - Google.
Equity is "The quality of being fair and impartial." - Google
Inclusion is "The practice or policy of providing equal access to opportunities and resources for people who might otherwise be excluded or marginalized, such as those who have physical or intellectual disabilities and members of other minority groups." - Google

I am an advocate for the environment. "I am the Lorax. I speak for the trees." It is so important for we as a people to be advocates for our environment. Climate change is increasing every year and it is calling for a change of the people today, yesterday, and tomorrow.
