Welcome to Ms. M's Teaching Resources!

Hope you enjoy my resources! All are free, and each one is made carefully with LOTS of time & love.

I've hand-drawn the clip art, included tutorial videos for the math mystery pictures, and incorporated visuals & timers for the scavenger hunt.

WARNING: If you share my resources with others (e.g. letting colleagues know or posting on social media), please share the link to my website to credit me for my work. I spend a very long time creating each and every resource, and put in lots of extra time to make them accessible and useful to all grade levels instead of just my own.

Donations are not necessary but GREATLY appreciated from the bottom of my heart due to the huge amount of time & care put into creating. ❀️I'm a 2nd year teacher with 1 year of experience combined at a Title I elementary school & (displaced to a) Title I middle school, where I struggled a lot financially with always personally funding school materials for my students. I graduated with my Master's at the age of 20 in 2019 from Stanford University's teacher education program as a first generation college student, and am working to pay off loans. Now, I teach 4th grade, but I spend the extra time to create resources that cater to ALL grade levels in hopes that it'll save you time! My students and I are fully remote, so I mail handwritten encouragement cards and homemade stickers to them. πŸ’Œ Donations will go toward stamps, cards, and a class set of books I want to purchase for my students as end-of-the-year gifts. I will also be a founding teacher at a new public school next year and am working to build a classroom library. Up until now, I've been trying to fundraise through making digital art on nights and weekends, but decided to share these all for free. πŸ™‚ Thank you for your love and support!

How do I download a library?

Click on the picture of the library, and it will automatically prompt you to make a copy.

It's not letting me access the library. Can you grant me access?

Just as I've mentioned on each page of my site: I have already set all links to prompt you to make a copy. If it tells you to "request access", that means YOUR school district is blocking access on your school account, in which case I CANNOT grant access. You will need to use your personal email to access the resources and make copies.

What grade level is this for?

Just as I've mentioned on the home page of my site, I am a 4th grade teacher but I create resources that cater to all elementary grade levels, ranging from PreK/TK to 6th. As you've noticed, my libraries generally contain a very large number of books, so there is a wide range of reading levels. Download the library you're interested in and you can preview the books.

I'm trying to download a library but it says "Heavy Traffic"! Help!

This means that there are lots of other people on that resource at the same time who are also trying to download/make a copy of the library. Wait for a few seconds/minutes to let the traffic die down, and then refresh the page. Then you'll be able to make a copy of the resource.

Can I share this with colleagues/on social media?

Yes! If you want to share my resources with your other educator friends or on social media, please make sure to share the LINK to my website (which you're on right now!) so that they know exactly where you got the resources from and can find even more of my resources! This is the way to properly credit me for my work. For example, please do not use my site to make a copy of a resource, and then share your copy with others. Other people have done this and passed off my work as their own, which is disheartening after the many late nights, days, and weeks that each resource takes me to create.

What links do you use?

YouTube links, though a few of my earliest libraries use SafeShare and SchoolTube. For those early libraries, I've indicated it in the description. Please do not ask if I will switch out my recent libraries' links to SafeShare or other sites. I spend days-weeks each night until around 4-5:30a.m. working on each library, which I share for FREE, and do not have any extra time to do so. You are always welcome to make a copy of the resource and switch out the links.

Do you have a resource for [specific topic] or take requests?

I have whatever is posted on my site. I previously took requests and prioritized people who informed me that they would be willing to make a small donation in return for my hours of time fulfilling their requests. However, most people who said they would be willing to make a small donation did not do so, and I was spending up to 22 hours on Saturdays and 22 hours on Sundays creating without even a simple thank you or donation from people who requested those libraries. It was becoming unsustainable for me to continue. Therefore, I am no longer officially accepting requests, but am still sharing all the libraries I create. However, if you are willing to make a donation and pay ahead of time, I may be able to do it depending on my schedule. Message my Facebook page if you are willing to.

Can I trust that each library/resource is high quality?

Absolutely! I take the time to research books beforehand, search for the clearest image of the book cover, and decorate/organize the Bitmoji room nicely. I do not claim the rights to images or videos shown in my slides, except for my clipart resource (Valentine's clipart / design a Valentine slides).

In addition, these are my qualifications:

β˜† UC Irvine | B.A. Education Sciences, specializations in Digital Media & Learning and Children's Learning & Development

β˜† Stanford University | M.A. Education, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential

β˜† Published STEM Education Researcher in PLOS One Science Journal

If a make a donation on "Buy Me a Coffee" or Venmo, where does the money go?

Donations go toward:

β˜† a class set of books that I want to purchase for my students as an
end of the year gift

β˜† stamps, envelopes, paper, ink, and sticker paper which I use to hand-make cards and stickers to mail to my students while in distance learning

β˜† my new classroom! I am a 2nd year teacher who has experienced teacher displacement and layoffs twice, but I have recently secured a permanent position as a 2nd grade teacher at a brand new public school opening in August! I will need to build my entire classroom library and prepare other supplies/materials.

During my first year of teaching in two Title I schools, I spent thousands of dollars on materials including: paper, pencils/school supplies, chairs, a classroom carpet, etc. In addition, I am 22 years old right now and am working on paying off loans. Donations as I build my classroom will be extremely helpful and appreciated from the bottom of my heart.

Hope you found something to enjoy with your students!

Wishing you the best as we continue through this year together. ✨

Please consider buying me a coffee if you like/appreciate my free resources! It is SO appreciated from the bottom of my heart. :) I update my site often to add more resources as I make them. Thank you for your love and support!
