Ms. Mele's Kindergarten Class

My name is Ms. Mele and I am so excited to be your teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you and your families . I have been a teacher for twenty years. I am dual certified in both elementary and special education. I am honored to be a part of the amazing staff at Jessie F. George school. We are going to learn so much, make new friends, and most importantly have fun. My teaching philosophy has always been that teachers and parents need to work together for a child to truly succeed. I know that by working as a team great things will come. On this site I will be providing important information about school events, academics, and websites that will be helpful to you and your child. Let's have an amazing year!

     I would like to share some fun things about myself as we embark on this new school year. I have been married for thirteen years to my husband, Mike. I have two daughters, Sophia and Giavanna. Sophia is eleven and will be starting sixth grade and Giavanna is seven and will be going into second grade. When I am not at school I spend time with my family. Most of my weekends during the school year are spent at sport events cheering my daughters on. During my free time I love to read and bake. My favorite color is yellow because it reminds me of the sun and always puts a smile on my face. My favorite place is the beach, I find the sound of the ocean waves soothing and calming. Therefore, my favorite season is Summer! I am so excited to start this journey with each of you!
