Meet Your Librarian

Hello! Since I can't be there to meet my new students in person, I decided to share a little bit about me on here. I have been teaching in MDUSD since 2004. After many years of teaching 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade, I decided I wanted to become a librarian. As a classroom teacher, my favorite thing to see was the spark in a student's eye when they found a book they truly enjoyed. It became my mission and passion to help all my students find their love of books. I love what I do and I am in awe of the amazing students and teachers I get to work with everyday!

When I am not busy at work, I am at home with my two kiddos, Finn (13) and Malia (10). We also have a crazy 2 1/2 year old French Bulldog named Oreo. You will most likely catch a glimpse of them all at some point on our zooms. :) This summer, although we've been home much of the time, we did escape up to Donner Lake in Truckee a few times. It was so much fun! I hope you enjoy the pictures and I am so excited to meet/see you all.
