Lost in Translation

Have you ever tried to learn a new language? Have you ever traveled to a foreign country and struggled to understand signs, menus, or gestures? All over the world, people have different ways of communicating, and sometimes there is no direct translation for thoughts or ideas. 

In this class, we will look at words, phrases, and ideas that have been created in different parts of the world to better understand their culture and context. Better understanding the culture and language of others can change our view of the world!
