What is Bullying?
Bullying happens when someone either physically or verbally harasses someone and is unwanted by the victim. This can happen in person or online. Some examples of physical bullying are hitting, tripping, or fighting someone. Emotional bullying can include calling someone names, purposefully leaving someone out, or simply making fun of someone. Advocacy for bullying is important because it can affect school performance and behavior at school as well as self-esteem and mental health. Bullying is a serious issue and will not be tolerated in my classroom or at the school.
