It important that all students get the same learning opportunities no matter the obstacle in their way. Students with ADHD are just as capable as those without, they just need some extra guidance along the way. No student should feel behind or like they can't keep up, that's our job as teachers. I want my students to be successful and I will do whatever I need to so that my students feel supported and have the resources they need. While not all children with ADHD necessarily qualify for services, they're all protected under the 504 Rehabilitation Act. This law prevents discrimination against a person with a disability, when a disability impacts one of life's major activities, one of which is learning.
