Audience Grabber:
Hey Guys, I’m your host Mackenzie and welcome to my podcast! Today’s podcast we’ll be covering the topic of homelessess. I have chosen Harmeet Kaur’s article “The pandemic could drive up homelessness up as much as 45%, an economist projects' ' submitted by CNN. The other article I've chosen is Cynthia Griffin’s “Truth Talk: 74% of Homeless People are NOT drug addicts”. I believe this topic isn’t looked upon as much as it should be. No one talks about it on social media, so what happens? Since March, the CoronaVirus has made over 250,000 people homeless in the United States. Kaur sheds a lot of light on how this pandemic has caused Americans to lose their job, leading up to being homeless. I’d like to discuss and analyze her article by identifying the rhetorical appeals. I hope you decide to join me in fully understanding how the virus has caused homelessness. With that being said, let’s go discuss it!
