​8th grade Art is a course for students during the elective block in the junior high schedule. This year, students will have several opportunities to learn about the artmaking process, learn about different careers in art, and explore how both artists and designers use art media to create meaning. Students are also able to choose from a variety of project options in order to incorporate their personal interests into their own art making process. Some projects that students may work on include: Identity tessellations, 3-D object design, collaborative comics, Surrealism paintings, digital art designs, and metamorphosis illustrations.
