Introduction
Social Media has become a part of our student lives. It is changing the way individuals and businesses communicate and students need to learn to use it effectively. This course will revolve around the different aspects of social media and how it is used in society. This course will allow students to explore how social media has changed communication, how it affects their future and how they can use it as an advantage for networking and employment.
Course Description
This half year course is designed for students in grades 11-12 to introduce social media and how it has become a part of the 21st Century. This course will revolve around different aspects of social media and how it is used in our society today. Throughout the course, six specific topics will be taught in order for students to gain the appropriate knowledge about social media. The topics will be:

· Social Media Writing Process
· Engagement
· Social Media Writing Structure
· Media Analysis
