Head Dive Coach Position

Experienced dive coach needed for the Delano Girls’ Swim and Dive Team’s 2018 season. The season begins August 13, 2018, and runs through November 17, 2018. Head Dive Coach responsibilities include:

  • Creation of a “dive” program with present and future goals
  • Supervision of daily dive practices
  • Management of dive pool area/equipment
  • Recruitment efforts
  • Attendance at all meets (home and away)
  • Act as support personnel for Head Swim Coach and Assistants
  • Integration of “dive” strengthening program with current program
  • Take advantage of professional growth opportunities
  • Develop a community-wide program to support future generations
  • Challenge divers to embrace competition and fulfill their potential

The hours would be from 3:00-6:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. There are meets almost every Thursday, and at least two weekends a month where you will be expected to attend a Saturday competition.

Currently, we are in the process of building a brand-new dive well. We do have divers, but they have had to practice elsewhere during the season. It’s our goal to create a stronger, more unified team with the addition of a head dive coach and a solid dive program.

Head Girls Swim & Dive Big Lake High School - job post

Job Summary: Responsible for the overall supervision of a an athletic program including varsity, junior varsity, C-squad and 7th & 8th grade programs.

Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D and a minimum of three years successful coaching experience in assigned sport. Two years (60 semester credits/90 quarter credits) of general college coursework preferred.

License Requirements: Valid coaching certificate or license preferred.

Coon Rapids High School Girls and Boys Diving Coach

Practices run from 5:45pm-8pm at Northdale Middle School

Girls season begins August 13th and runs through November 17th

Boys season begins November 26th and runs through March 2nd

Practice and meet flexibility available - we have a parent volunteer who is an experienced diving coach that is happy to assist with practices and meets when she is available.


-Previous diving or diving coaching experience required

-We want four divers competing at Sections every year (11 dive lists)

-You're in charge of the diving practices, so some structure/goals for the divers is expected

-Attendance at most meets is expected, once again some flexibility is available since our parent volunteer coach is an experienced diving coach

-Have a great attitude and make it FUN!

Coon Rapids High School Boys' Swimming Assistant Coach

-Great opportunity for someone looking to get into coaching swimming!

-Knowledge of the four competitive strokes is required.

-Competitive swimming experience preferred but not required.

-Previous coaching experience is not required (we all have to start somewhere!).

-Ability to work with middle school and high school age students is a must!

Season starts November 26th and ends March 2nd (depending on advancement to the state competition).

Regular practice times are 5:45pm-8pm Monday - Friday. 9:45am-12pm most Saturdays.

Meets are on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays. We average about 1-2 meets per week.

Position is open until filled.
