UNITED was initiated November 10, 2017, by Ithaca native Ms. Harmony Malone, with a group of eight community children, and has grown to be a staple youth performing dance group in the Ithaca community. UNITED allows for participants to: cultivate new friendships, acknowledge unique dancing styles, learn about the culture of dance, black unity, self-love, feminism; choreograph and perform challenging pieces, be themselves and most importantly develop a safe-space where they develop an appreciation of community! UNITED members collectively create statements through the power of movement, while being reminded of the power of their voice, commanding attention! This program caters to children in grades 2nd - 8th, and is the foundation of Ms. Harmony's Dance Studio. Join this family made up of the community, for the community by the community!!!

The teachers for the UNITED program are Ms. Harmony & her assistant choreographer Miss Kalyani! Go check out the instructors page to learn more about them!

Yes! Due to the pandemic we decided to have a maximum of 25 students, and those students are being selected via auditions. If your child doesn't get in NO WORRIES WE'VE GOT YOU! GO CHECK OUT OUR COMMUNITY OPPORTUNITIES TAB!!!
When are practices?

Practices for this year will be held on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 5:45p - 7:15p at the historical Southside Community Center at 305 S. Plain St., Ithaca, NY!
How much does this program cost?
How much does this program cost?
UNITED was created with you in mind! Each class is $10 for 1.5hr dance experience! That's $20 a week for high-quality dance instruction totaling to $80 a month! $750 for the entire school year... that's it! How can you beat a price like that?

Yes! We currently have two uniforms a winter uniform and a summer uniform that each cost $65 per uniform! We also will be creating a new shorts summer uniform for this program (be on the lookout for details)!
