As she continues to grow and be challenged as an artist/teacher/choreographer/community activist. Ms. Harmony encourages her fellow artists to always remember the power of their voice, and it's ability to confront and change systemic issues of race, inclusion and diversity at face-value. Ms Harmony is extremely honored to serve as a rising community mother and leader, and is grateful to have a community that continuously supports her.
Assistant Choreographer
Miss Kalyani, fondly called Kaly, is elated to be apart of this communal journey with the UNITED family! Throughout her career she has learned how to connect to herself and others through the medium of dance. At the age of 10 she joined a local dance team, GCF (Greatest Common Factor), and was mentored by the amazing G-Quan Booker. Miss Kaly also received dance training from our beloved community mother, Ms. Harmony Malone. She has been grateful to have had the opportunity to perform as well as teach with GCF. In addition to this Miss Kaly has worked as an assistant choreographer at CUMEP (The Community Unity Music Education Program) summer camp, along with teaching a workshop at Cornell.
Later in life Miss Kaly hopes to work in a professional setting that allows her to combine both her passion in performing arts and social justice. Throughout your United experience Miss Kaly believes that you will learn how dance is an elaborated version of storytelling. The goal of her choreography is to create art which is both individually and communally healing. She is so grateful to be able to share her work with all of our students.
