The artifacts below display how I have expanded my creativity through the use of technology and how I have used technology to enhance my creativity inside the classroom.
While exploring different innovative technology, I spent quality time learning how to use an AI art generator called NightCafe and pondered how to implement this tool in the classroom. This artifact demonstrates my attempt to incorporate this technological tool into a science project that my students already will be working on and how I will support students in learning how to use this tool and how to overcome failures.
Technology is a tool many people utilize to demonstrate their creativity, but what is creativity?
There are many aspects of creativity; however, one is "embodied thinking," which is thinking with both our body and movement as well as understanding how we feel intellectually and emotionally.
In this artifact, I demonstrated my understanding of the multiple aspects of creativity and demonstrated my ability to create a visual, online poster to support students' creativity and embodied thinking. This visual aid provides students with an idea of different ways they can write their exposition of their narrative as well as how a strong start of a story can make the readers feel.
The word abstract itself is an abstract concept. However, we can demonstrate our learning abstractly by focusing on a specific key element of something.
For this project, I decided to abstract the story plot in narrative writing by looking at examples of stories and mapping them out. Then, I challenged myself by creating a short musical score that musically illustrates the story plot. This artifact highlights how I can combine two different subject areas as well as my willingness to try something completely new and outside of my comfort zone
Along with "embodied thinking," I learned and explored many other aspects of creativity through Root-Bernstein's Sparks of Genius: The Thirteen Thinking Tools of the World's Most Creative People.
This artifact demonstrates not only my complete understanding of creativity and its value but also how I plan on incorporating creativity into the classroom through a variety of subjects; this artifact can also be utilized to teach educators about creativity.
