Make Coordinate Plane lessons more relevant!
My current students love video games. If they could, they would play games all day long. This activity incorporates the students' love of different video games into a coordinate plane review. Not only did the students love doing the activity, but it is also super easy to create and modify for different grades or different interests!

Know what your students' interests are.
Copy and paste a birds-eye view map or landscape onto Google Slides.
Copy and paste a coordinate plane of your choice online. I used a 4-quadrant plane, which is what my grade 6 students are learning.
Modify the coordinate plane so it is semi-transparent (I used 50%).
Put the coordinate plane over the map.
Add some pictures scattered on the map.
Create questions relevant to what you are leaning.
