part 46 plan

Each Part 46 mines and contractors must have their own training plan. If the plan follows MSHA guidelines or templates they do NOT need to be approved by MSHA. Plans are available here:

part 48 plan

Part 48 mines must have their own plan submitted to and approved by MSHA. Contractors may submit their own plan or train under a mine's or training institution's plan.
